ACE QB and WR Week 2 Top Performers

Most players listed have been evaluated at ACE camps, training, or other events where an ACE staff member was present.

Quarterback Watchlist After Week 2

Anthony Paoletti-2018-Marple Newtown, PA (18-27 269yds, 4TDs)
This kid is fun to watch. He is strong and twitchy which allows him to escape pressure when the pocket breaks. In his last game, Paoletti displayed his arm strength on multiple plays where he had to squeeze in post routes or hit open receivers for big gains throwing across his body on broken plays.

Amir Gillis-2018-Simon Gratz (18-25 339yds 4TDs, 47yds 1rushTD)
Gillis was in a league of his own this…maybe on a field of his own last week. He was able to burn the defense for 4 passing TDs and run in one. He made the defense pay for blitzes with his quick release and bought time finding the open guys on when the play broke down.

Logan Leiby-2018-Selinsgrove, PA (16-19 284yds, 5TDs)
On the list for the 2nd week in a row, Leiby is off to a hot start in 2017. Again, Leiby looks really comfortable in the pocket and under pressure. He had no problem finding the open guy displayed good field awareness. Looking forward to another light show this weekend vs. Shamokin.

Highlights

Kevin Doyle-2018-St.John’s, Maryland (21-35 300+yds, 2TDs)
Although the TD outcome is not as gaudy as last weeks, Doyle and team traveled across the country to face De La Salle and almost tarnished the Cali powerhouses 2017 season. He once again made NFL type throws for big chunks throughout the game. Doyle hit the deep outs, posts, and comebacks, making them look like routine passes. This was a good test for Doyle and many think that his performance will open a lot eyes.

Highlights

Wide Receiver/Athlete Watchlist

Dahmir Ruffin-2018-Archbishop Carrol, PA (180yd rushing/receiving, 5TDs (four receiving) next vs. Bensalem
Ruffin is pound for pound one of the most athletic football players in the Philadelphia area. He is still waiting for his 1st offer, but he is definitely deserving. He is off to a great start and I’d expect he will be hearing from some colleges this Fall. Keep an eye out for him.

Kennedy Poles-Penn Wood, PA (3-101yds, 3TDs) next vs. Council Rock North
My initial thoughts after watching his film is that this kid has some special characteristics. His ball skills are above average and I believe that if he is consistent and displays some speed in the coming weeks, he will be a top WR prospect this season. Let’s see how he gets after it the rest of the year hopefully we have this conversation again.

Dash Dulgerian-Marple Newtown, PA (6-144yds,1TD) next vs. Radnor
On the receiving end of Paoletti’s passes, Dulgerian helped shred his opponent with his sure hands and shiftiness. Not to mention Dulgerian had another 150+ game last week. We are looking forward to seeing him continue his showcase vs. his next opponent.

Justis Henley-North Penn, PA (11-201yds, 2TDs) next Pennsbury
Henley is a dynamic athlete. He’s can pretty much play every positon on the field and excel. Even when defenses lock in on him he finds a way to hurt you. His next game is against a tough Pennsbury team who’s looking to return to its reputation as a traditionally hard-nosed club.
